Paris Saint-Germain announced on Monday the renewal until 2028 of their sponsorship with Qatar Airways, the airline from the Persian Gulf country, a name that has been printed on the Paris jerseys since the 2022-2023 season.
PSG did not disclose the amount of the sponsorship, which has been extended for another three seasons. "We are proud to renew our agreement until 2028 with QatarAirways, the best airline in the world. This exceptional partnership is based on shared values of excellence, creativity and innovation," said Nasser Al-Khelaifi, in a statement released by the club.
The airline's CEO Mohammed Al-Meer said in the same statement that the agreement reflects "a common worldview in connecting and inspiring people around the world".
In 2022, when the airline's name first appeared on the club's shirts, the French press had put the sponsorship at between 60 and 70 million euros per season. Qatar Airways had replaced the Accor hotel chain on the PSG shirt, whose branding had been in place since 2019.
