The Paris Saint-Germain ultras have issued a statement on their social networks to rally fans ahead of the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona. This sector of the French fans understand that the 'Cules' are a "vile" club and "favoured by the referees", so they invite the supporters of Luis Enrique's team to create a "hostile" atmosphere.

The PSG ultras intend to make the Parc des Princes an unpleasant ground for Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. The good harmony between the two sides, which has led to matches involving well-known players from both clubs such as Neymar and Ronaldinho, does not seem to have the same tone in the stands, where the most organised section of the supporters of Luis Enrique's side are calling for a "hostile" mobilisation.
In a statement issued through their social networks, they even underline that the 'Cules' are a "vile" entity and "favoured by the referees". It also urges those in attendance to wear the first jersey, dark blue and red, to welcome the Catalan side, who will be able to respond, although not with the same forcefulness, in the return leg, as this season they have had to move to Montjuic, which has a smaller capacity than the Camp Nou, due to building work at the latter.
To provide more context to the French initiative, it should be borne in mind that this could be the last season with Kylian Mbappe in their ranks and the star striker is one of the main assets of the project in their insistence on adding the Champions League to their trophy cabinet. For the moment, however, there has been no official announcement. Everything is based on a communication from the player himself to the club's board of directors, which has been reported in the press.
Another part of the PSG ultras' letter that may be of interest is one that says: "This team, whose warrior and solidarity mentality we like, must feel a whole people with determination by its side. This year, Paris Saint-Germain has redirected its model to make room for younger talent and less tied to transfers of more than 100 million euros, although this is not to say that its operations have not been expensive. The fact is that the stands seem to identify with the youthfulness of the dressing room, at least according to the words in quotation marks.
