Several Paris Saint-Germain fans met on Monday to protest against the current situation of the team. The ultras held banners against the board and insulted several players such as Lionel Messi">Messi.
Some of those fans had recently turned against a player they see as a symbol of all the club have done wrong in focusing on superstar signings while failing to build a genuinely competitive team.
This week's events are surely the final straw. Messi played in PSG's insipid 3-1 home defeat by Lorient in Ligue 1 on Sunday. He then travelled to Saudi Arabia without the club's permission.
As a result, Argentina's 35-year-old World-Cup winning captain would be sidelined for "several days". This situation has angered some fans and they insulted the 35-year-old: "Messi, son of a b****! Son of a b****," they shouted.
