There have been lots of rumours of PSG wanting to sign Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona for 50 million euros. There has been talk of that being his buyout clause, but 'Sport' says that the French side would actually have to put 100 million euros on the table if they want to avoid negotiations.

Ousmane Dembele has a contract at Barcelona until summer 2024, but in recent days, there have been rumours in several media outlets of an interesting option for him. He is reportedly trying to join PSG, who are willing to pay 50 million euros for him, so that Dembele can return to his homeland. He would be welcomed as a big star, but 'Sport' says getting him for 50 million will not happen.
The newspaper reports that Barca say his buyout clause is 100 million euros. There were rumours that 50 million would be enough to avoid having to negotiate with the Catalan giants, but 'Sport' states it is actually double that.
It makes sense that that is the actual figure given that Barca spent around 100 million when they signed him from Dortmund years ago. It would not make sense for him to have a buyout clause of less than half the initial transfer fee. Furthermore, the club are not in their best state financially and they are looking to get as much money as they can from each sale.
Dembele, after struggling to play regularly for years because of injuries, seems to have finally put his injury problems behind him and he is playing regularly under Xavi Hernandez. The coach has made clear what he thinks of him in several press conferences and that he could become one of the best players on the planet with the right coaching. After the disappointment of losing the World Cup final in Qatar, Dembele will try and show his quality during the rest of the season.
