Xavi Simons has decided to return to the ranks of Paris Saint-Germain. The Dutch player will make the move back to the Parc des Princes this summer, after accepting an offer from the Ligue 1 champions.
PSV, the club who Simons played for last season following his departure from Paris, confirmed that he had left the training camp in Austria to complete his move to France.
PSG had a six million euro buy-back clause, in case they wanted to bring back the young exciting player, who was key for his team in the last campaign, scoring 22 goals and assisting 11 more in 48 appearances.
Simons will join the squad in Paris under the orders of Luis Enrique, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll play the season in the Parc des Princes.
Plenty of uncertainty faces PSG, and Simons is an insurance policy. Should one of either Kylian Mbappe or Neymar Jr leave the club, he will stay to play next season, but if they both stay, the side will send him out on loan.
