PSG lost at home to Clermont in a match that served as a farewell for Leo Messi and Sergio Ramos. The club announced that both the Argentine and the Spaniard would not be renewed and will be free agents from 30th June.
The former Barcelona man's future could be back at Camp Nou, although his return is difficult. Meanwhile, it seems that the only destination for the centre-back is Saudi Arabia. According to 'Mundo Deportivo', the former Real Madrid player could join the Saudi League next season.
There, he would once again meet a Cristiano Ronaldo who plays for Al Nassr and a Karim Benzema who is very close to signing for Al Ittihad. The Cameroonian decided to decline the renewal offer from the Parisian side as he did not agree with the conditions.
The proposal was much lower than the 10 million euros net that he has been paid for the last two seasons. It was barely more than half of his salary, i.e. around 5 million euros net per season, a total of 10 million euros gross.
