Sergio Ramos joined Sevilla in the final stages of the transfer window. Looking ahead to next season, neither he nor his family are keen to return to such an unstable situation, so his agent is already exploring options outside the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan. At least, that's what Alonso Rivero reports in 'Relevo'.
The newspaper indicates that the defender's priority is to remain in the Andalusian capital, but that he understands that the budgetary situation may not be ideal and that, faced with the potential scenario of having to look at other projects, he has to prepare himself. At 38 years of age, he continues to have an interesting reputation in the top leagues. This season, he has already started 29 out of 29 times. Nobody has disputed his place in an irregular season for Sevilla.
It should be noted that the contract of the former Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain player expires in June, so he can't stay unless there is a new consensus between him and the board. His salary was reduced to 2 million euros gross to facilitate his return to the club where he grew up, even though he had more interesting financial offers.
It is now Sevilla's turn to react to the moves of Sergio Ramos' agent. If the Nervion bosses want him to stay, it will be enough to get in touch with his entourage to reassure them that an offer for him will be forthcoming soon. The budgets, however, are still waiting for Quique Sanchez-Flores' side to secure their mathematical permanence in La Liga.
