According to 'The Sun', Sergio Ramos, who has just returned to his boyhood club Sevilla, turned down Manchester United to resume his career in La Liga.

Veteran former Spain defender Sergio Ramos said on Monday he was returning to his home-town club Sevilla after 18 years away.
Ramos left the Andalusian side at the age of 19 to join Real Madrid for a then record fee for a Spanish defender. In 2021, Ramos signed for Paris Saint-Germain but had been without a club since his contract with the French champions ran out in June.
According to reports, Saudi club Al Ittihad tempted the centre-back with a huge offer but the 37-year-old decided to reject them. However, they were not the only ones interested in his transfer.
'The Sun' reports that Manchester United made an offer to the Spaniard but Ramos' objective was clear. He wanted to play at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium. The Red Devils wanted to sign him as a free agent to replace Raphael Varane, who will be out of action for at least a month.
Nevertheless, Ramos rejected their bid as soon as he received it and, as a result, the Manchester outfit took offence at being turned down so quickly.
It should be pointed out that Jose Luis Mendilibar's men beat Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the Europa League last campaign.
