Raphinha spoke to 'Barça One' on the eve of his side's La Liga clash with Girona. The No.11, who comes off the back of his first career hat-trick in Barcelona's 7-0 win over Valladolid, admitted he was surprised to be chosen as one of the captains of the Catalan side.

Barcelona forward Raphinha confessed in an interview with 'Barça One' that he did not expect to be chosen as one of the captains of Hansi Flick's squad although he was "very excited": "If I tell you I expected it, I'm lying to you.
"Robert (Lewandowski) could be too, Jules (Kounde), Inigo (Martinez). They are already captains in the dressing room. This means that what I do internally, the boys and the veterans see it. To be captain is to be there ready to play and to help in whatever is needed and fight for whatever is needed, whether it's on or off the pitch," he explained.
The Brazilian said he is going through his "best moment" since he arrived at Barcelona, but "I can still improve more and I think I can help the team a lot more," he said. His great moment coincides with that of the team, although Raphinha admitted that "when you win the first four games, everything is easier".
"It was the first hat-trick of my professional career. I give a lot of importance to the numbers. I like to score a lot and I like to assist a lot, but, in my opinion, the most important thing is the team's victory, regardless of what I do individually, although scoring three goals is special," he said.
