Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets' departures will help Barcelona a lot in terms of fitting in with the 'Financial Fair Play' requirements. Both players' high salaries will improve the club's books in terms of getting new faces in, as could be the case with Leo Messi.
Before finding out about the Spaniards' departures, the Camp Nou side were studying the possibility of selling players with high market value to cash in and get the Argentine back that way. One of those men who they had thought about selling was Brazilian winger Raphinha.
The ex-Leeds man would be worth a bit in the Premier League and the €80-90 million that Barca would have asked for would have helped considerable. However, the player feels comfortable there and is not considering leaving. Additionally, his entourage back his choice to not want a change of scene.
According to journalist Alex Pintanel, from 'Gol', the Brazil international has his heart set on staying, and is convincing his side that he is in ready to continue growing in Xavi's side. In his first season, he has managed to break through into the first team and stay there in a side which has won La Liga.
Raphinha is thought to have told his close team that he has full faith in his ability and that neither him nor his agents are thinking of leaving the Catalan side. At the moment, it is looking more likely that Ferran Torres or Ansu Fati leave before him, as he has got 10 goals and 12 assists this season.
