Manchester United announced on Tuesday that the academy graduate has signed a contract extension that sees him at Old Trafford until June 2028. The board are delighted with his performances and want to keep him around for more seasons.
Not only are the board happy with him, but so are the Red Devils fans and legends. In fact, Wayne Rooney spoke about the 25-year-old's renewal and said he could reach the level of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
"I think Marcus Rashford is an incredible talent. I’m delighted he’s signed a new deal. I think the next five years are going to be important in his legacy," he claimed.
"He can score a lot of goals but if he really wants to go to that level of which [Kylian] Mbappe and [Erling] Haaland are at he really needs to be the man to get Manchester United back to winning titles and I hope he can."
