Former Chelsea player William Gallas has urged Marcus Rashford to leave Manchester United to join the Blues and save his professional football career.

Marcus Rashford paid for his poor season as the 26-year-old has scored just eight times in 42 appearances for his club this season and only recently returned from injury. As a result, the Manchester United forward was left out of England boss Gareth Southgate's provisional 33-man squad for Euro 2024 on Tuesday.
"There will always be quality players who are interested in signing for Chelsea, but we have to ask if Rashford would want to leave Man United. Nobody knows the reason, maybe he has a problem with Erik ten Hag - if he leaves then Rashford could stay," William Gallas said in an interview.
"A player like Rashford, we want to see the exciting young player who broke through on fire, running everywhere and scoring beautiful goals. Maybe injuries have been a problem and another club for a fresh start could be the right option and Chelsea would provide this for him," he concluded.
