Antony's loan move to Real Betis from Manchester United appears to be gaining momentum, with Betis CEO Ramón Alarcon hinting at the possibility of extending the Brazilian winger's stay.
Speaking to SER, Alarcon claimed, "Why not keep Antony here next season? It’s a possibility." With glimmers of the form that once made him one of Europe's most sought-after talents, the 24-year-old has made an instant impression at Betis.
Antony joined Betis in January on a straight loan deal without an option to buy, but his performances under Manuel Pellegrini have sparked discussions about a longer-term arrangement.
"We sent Manchester United all the moves and details of the player throughout the week so that they can see we are looking after their asset," Alarcon added, highlighting the club’s commitment to managing Antony’s development.
The Brazilian winger has struggled for consistency since his £85m move to Manchester United in 2022, but a change of scenery in La Liga could help revive his career.
Under Pellegrini’s guidance, Antony has already begun adapting to a system that prioritises creativity and high pressing. As Alarcón concluded, "There is very good chemistry," suggesting that both player and club are open to continuing their partnership beyond this season.
