Florian Wirtz is one of the Bundesliga and Germany's promising young talents. At just 19 years of age, the young midfielder is playing at Bayer Leverkusen and has started to turn the heads of the biggest sides in Europe.
Without going any further, German media are claiming that Bayern Munich, famous for signing the German league's biggest talents, already have an agreement to get the player in the near future. However, this information could fall through suddenly.
According to Fabrizio Romano, an expert in transfers, Real Madrid and Barcelona have returned to the fight to sign Wirtz and are promising to go head to head to get the next "big star" of German football on board. His style of play is perfect for what both sides need ahead of next season.
The midfielder is under contract at Leverkusen until 2027 and recently got back to playing after getting over a cruciate ligament injury. The Bundesliga club's aim is for the player to get back to his best and become a key player in the squad.
Meanwhile, Europe's biggest clubs are going to start and formulate their plans to get him in the summer transfer window. It's thought that €80 million would be enough to convince Bayer to let their key player go ahead of next season.
