Brahim Diaz spoke to the media after Real Madrid's victory over Atalanta. The 'Merengues' winger celebrated “a great victory” and assured that they are “made to play this kind of matches”. “It's a great victory, the coach has prepared the match very well, we were eager to win a match of this kind and this will help us from here on. We played a great match against a team that was in great form. These are matches that Madrid always wins, so I'm very happy,” he said on ‘Movistar+’.
“These types of matches are made for Real Madrid and today, one more day, we proved it and we won,” he added. Brahim acknowledged that they were “annoyed” by the last action of the first half, when Aurelien Tchouameni gave away a penalty that restored parity, but he was pleased with the reaction in the second half. “The important thing was to win. This team has a lot to give and it's going to do it,” he added.
“We are going to take it one game at a time, we want to reach 15 points and we will see what happens. Now, things are going the way they have to go, we are all eager to move forward. This is Real Madrid and let them talk at the end because they have just started,” he said, without ruling out being able to qualify directly for the round of 16 among the top eight.
“It's always good to be able to contribute. I'm here to help the team with an assist or whatever, with work. We have incredible players, we have all worked hard and played a very good game,” he said.
