Real Madrid hurt by late fixture timings in away games

Looking at Real Madrid's away fixture timings this season suggests that they perhaps do not get much sleep at night. In fact, 'AS' conducted an analysis of the club's kick-off hours when they are not playing at the Santiago Bernabeu, revealing that they are often very late.
From the 13 away matches played so far in all competitions (La Liga, Champions League, Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup) only two have been before 21:00, with one of them seeing 'Los Blancos' having to travel to Doha to face Pachuca - the other one was when they played Leganes in November.
The remaining 11 fixtures all took place at 21:00. In total Real Madrid have played one UEFA Super Cup final against Atalanta, three Champions League matches (Lille, Liverpool and Atalanta) and nine La Liga games (Mallorca, Las Palmas, Real Sociedad, Atletico Madrid, Celta Vigo, Leganes, Athletic Club, Girona and Rayo Vallecano) all away from their home stadium.
"We are fed up, every time we play an away match, we don't get back home until 3:00 in the morning if we are lucky, and then the next day there's training. It's already hard to rest with the amount of matches we have, so imagine with these hours," someone in the squad reportedly said, as per the same source. While it is true that the 'Merengues' have had to deal with late hours in their away matches, they remain the club to attract the most fans no matter where they go.
