Real Madrid failed to score for the third time in their last five and showed, once again, the problems they've got going forward this season.
This has meant alarm bells have started ringing at the Santiago Bernabeu. According to 'AS', the 'Merengues' will be strengthening the attack with a marquee striker such as Dusan Vlahovic, or with someone in between like they had with Chicharito Hernandez, Emmanuel Adebayor and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
The Madrid side's worries are real and Carlo Ancelotti made that clear in the press room after the Real Betis game: "In the last three games, we've only scored one goal, and that was from a dead-ball. It's obvious we've got to be more effective. The other sides close up, but we've got the quality to play better. More efficient and more convincing".
Until the end of the season, academy graduate Alvaro Rodriguez will be called upon for Madrid's forward line, who's going through a dry spell.
The favourites to strengthen the attack are Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. However, neither of them would possibly go there before 2024. Therefore, these players are being considered for the next transfer window.
