Real Madrid have a plan for 2025 and Florian Wirtz will play a key role in their plans. The Bayer Leverkusen star could join the La Liga outfit next summer.
According to ‘Marca’, the player and the club have reached a deal for the summer of the 2025/26 campaign. Wirtz will not move from Bayer Leverkusen this summer, but is very likely to leave next summer.
Real Madrid have been working on bringing in Wirtz for months. He has wanted to take it cautiously and has gradually made just the right moves to satisfy the player. He puts the possible transfer at 150 million euros, a figure that was unheard of a decade ago but which has increased with inflation over the years.
There is still a year to go and the deal is not closed, which is why other clubs are interested. Barcelona are also interested but Real Madrid are sure that he will end up choosing to play at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Germans claim that Wirtz's future lies not in Spain, but with Bayern Munich. What is clear is that Real Madrid have already practically outlined their 2024 squad with the signing of Mbappe. So much so that they are already starting to work with a year to go.
