Real Madrid take advantage over local rivals Atletico in Champions League

In a tense and fiercely contested Champions League blockbuster, Real Madrid claimed a 2-1 victory over Atletico Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.
Rodrygo opened the scoring early in the match, taking advantage of a defensive lapse from Atletico. However, Diego Simeone's side responded with a determined effort, and Julian Alvarez equalised with a stunning strike from close range. Despite Atletico's attempts to regain control, Brahim Diaz sealed the win for Madrid, capitalising on a clever pass in the box. All eyes will now be on the second leg as the tie remains very much alive.
