It seems Real Madrid's woes have extended off the football pitch as the team bus was involved in a car crash following their 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on Wednesday in the Champions League. The accident seemingly took place on the M40 motorway in England, as footage circulated on social media showing the coach parked up on the side of the road.
The vehicule appears to have been struck by a lorry, though it has been reported that no players or staff were onboard at the time of the accident. Only the team's kits were being carried in the coach, as players had immediately flown back to Spain after the loss at Anfield.
Although the extent of the damages on the coach are yet to be confirmed, the incident remains a minor blow for the club, who had just rebranded the vehicule in October. Real Madrid invested to give the team bus a luxurious and hi-tech look as a means to copy the revamped Santiago Bernabeu.
According to 'the Mirror', this is the second time Real Madrid's bus has been at the centre of a road incident. According to 'BILD', Ancelotti's side were reportedly involved in a collision with a white Toyota as they were on their way to face RB Leipzig in the Champions League. The European champions were forced to travel by road for 100 miles due to a strike at the airport.
