Madrid completed the trip from New Jersey to Charlotte on Sunday, after 'El Clasico' against Barcelona in their second pre-season test, where they will close their US tour with a friendly against Chelsea.
With Florentino Perez leading a squad that has grown compared to the last trip with the presence of Brazilians Militao, Rodrygo and Vinicius, the 'Merengues' arrived at their third and final destination of the tour.
During the morning in the United States, late Spanish time, Madrid made the trip, hours after losing to Barcelona (2-1) at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Italian Carlo Ancelotti played down the importance of the results, so far two defeats in the two tests plus the match against Milan in Chicago. "I think in these games, the result is the least important thing. We continue with the pre-season line of giving minutes and preparing the players," he said.
Militao and Vinicius played their first minutes of the pre-season against Barcelona, and youth players Jacobo Ramon, Rafa Obrador and Lorenzo Aguado made their debuts with the first team. There was also a large presence of young players, with Mario Martin in the starting line-up and Joan Martinez and Nico Paz, scorer of Madrid's goal.
After the charter flight, 'Los Blancos' remained at the Grand Bohemian Hotel Charlotte, where they will train from 18:00 local time at the Atrium Performance Park on Sunday.
Brazilian Rodrygo is scheduled to play his first minutes in the match against Chelsea, which will be played on Tuesday at 19:00 (01:00 CEST) at the Bank of America Stadium.
