Real Madrid youth product Moha Ramos released from prison
Moha Ramos, the goalkeeper of the Tenerife reserve team who had been in jail since 29th July, has been released thanks to the work of the legal services of the Tenerife team. The newspaper ‘Marca’ reports on his situation, which now leads to a return to training with the ‘Chicharrero’ B team. He was deprived of his liberty for failing to comply with a summons for drink-driving in 2018.

Moha Ramos, 24, is facing a long-awaited end to the consequences of a mistake he made six years ago and which has haunted him ever since. He drove under the influence of alcohol in an incident that resulted in two injuries and for which he had been summoned to court for some time. When he did not heed the call, he was arrested at the end of last month, but, according to the newspaper ‘Marca’, he has now been released from prison.
He is now expected to return to training with Tenerife B in the next few days. His plan is to return to normality after a season, the 23-24, in which he was on the pitch 26 times. It was his chance for continuity and a potential opportunity to catch the eye of the first team after spells with Birmingham City, Real Unión de Irun, Rayo Cantabria, Real Avilés Industrial and Las Palmas.
The goalkeeper has not been on the pitch since 12th May, when he started against UD Teror in the Spanish fifth tier. A month earlier, on 7th April, he went viral for scoring a goal against Santa Ursula from inside his own penalty area, which raised the profile of his talent and saw his chances of making progress in his career increase. That's when that 2018 event reemerged into his present.
Moha Ramos, who is a Real Madrid youth player, came to train alongside stars of the stature of Cristiano Ronaldo. Without this being confirmed, that drink-driving is one of the main reasons why the ‘Merengues’ reserve team dropped him. At least, that is what he implied in the statement he shared on his social media profiles to say goodbye to the capital club.
