The Ukrainian Football Federation announced that Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin will not join the national team for the final two group matches of the UEFA Nations League. The national team cite ‘family reasons’, but no further details have been released. In Spain, he is Carlo Ancelotti's first-choice goalkeeper because Thibaut Courtois is suffering from an adductor injury in his left leg.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has been left out of the Ukraine squad for the final two group games of the Nations League against Georgia and Albania. With this last-minute contingency, Ukraine coach Serhiy Rebrov has called up Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Dmytro Riznyk, according to the Federation on Sunday.
Lunin, who has started recent games for Real Madrid due to Thibaut Courtois' injury and was key to Carlo Ancelotti's side's success last season when the Belgian was also sidelined for a lengthy period, has yet to play in this season's Nations League, with Benfica's Anatoliy Trubin the coach's choice.
Ukraine, bottom of Nations League group B1 with four points, three behind leaders Czech Republic, visit Georgia in Batumi next Saturday and Albania in Tirana on Tuesday 19.
