Arjen Robben was one of the best wingers of this century. He did not reach the level of Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi, but he was always in the spotlight for his great performances. The former Bayern player remains a football great despite his retirement.
In a chat with TOUZANI on his YouTube channel, the Dutchman answered the million-dollar question about the best player in world football. Despite having shared training sessions with Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid the summer the Portuguese arrived from Manchester United and left for Bayern Munich, Robben sticks with Leo Messi.
"You mentioned very big players, who are really good," Robben said of the TOUZANI question. "When I talk to people about this, we look for the best. The unique and the absolutely best. I always ask: 'Does he have an ace up his sleeve?' And the answer is always: 'No'. Messi doesn't have any tricks up his sleeve or anything like that. He does everything extremely fast. He has control, speed and agility," concluded the Dutch ex-footballer.
For his career, Robben has played against Cristiano Ronaldo 15 times, winning four, drawing two and losing nine. In contrast, Robben has only played eight times against Leo Messi, winning three, drawing three and losing just two.
