Madrid wrapped up preparations for the 'Clasico' with their third training session of the week ahead of the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final, with Brazilian striker Rodrygo Goes in the group, before making a decision on his return, having recovered from a slight muscle problem.
For the second day in a row, Rodrygo trained with the group and showed that the muscle tear he suffered at Anfield in the left piriformis muscle is now behind him, ahead of the two-week time limit.
Rodrygo was absent for the Madrid derby against Atletico Madrid and is set to be a new addition to the squad for the first of the three 'Clasicos' against Barcelona in just a month's time.
Ancelotti is still without Mendy and Alaba, the only two players who remain injured with muscular problems.
Among the home-grown players who reinforced the first team's training session, Alvaro Rodriguez was once again a notable presence. After assisting in Pamplona against Osasuna and scoring his first goal against Atletico Madrid, everything points to him being called up for his first 'Clasico' at the age of 18.
