Roma unveiled on Tuesday the shirt they will wear on Saturday against Lazio in what is known as the 'Derby della Capitale', a retro kit that aims to evoke the one worn by the 'Loba' in the 1998-99 derby that they won 3-1 with goals from Marco Delvecchio and Francesco Totti (3-1).
The most special match in the Italian capital, which will be played on Saturday at 18.00 (CEST), is already beginning to take centre stage in Rome. The home side at the Stadio Olimpico, which both teams share, unveiled the 'ASR Origins Jersey', the fourth kit of the season for a special match that will bring the whole of Rome to a standstill.
The idea of the Roman team is to pay homage to one of the club's greatest eras: "In the 183rd 'Derby della Capitale', Roma will wear a shirt that evokes historic moments for the Roman club, redesigned to suit the contemporary tastes of the new generation of fans".
The shirt stands out because it will use Roma's original crest, featuring the She-Wolf suckling Romulus and Remus, a crest "never used in this form on the pitch," the 'Giallorossi' said.
In addition, it recovers the collar, which will be orange; and will complete the kit with white shorts and black socks, far from the current style that is usually worn with shorts and socks of the same colour. The shirt went on sale on Tuesday and its price is 100 euros, 75 euros in the children's size
