Cristiano Ronaldo struck twice as Portugal thrashed Bosnia and Herzegovina 5-0 to maintain their perfect record in Group J.
Ronaldo extended his men's record international goals tally to 127 after an early penalty was followed by a deft chip that doubled the lead for Portugal in Zenica. However, the Portuguese star also suffered an unpleasant situation in Monday's qualifier.
The 38-year-old was confronted by a fan desperate to meet him and take a photo with him in the 38th minute of the match. The striker could have been injured as he was pushed and shoved by both the fan and security.
Eventually, the fan was removed by security and taken out of the stadium so that the match between the nations could continue as normal.
Several pitch invaders have tried to take a photo with Ronaldo in the last few matches of the Portuguese national team. It's a risk for the safety of CR7, who should be escorted more often so that this kind of situation does not happen again.
