It's not every game that Cristiano Ronaldo can walk away happy. In Tuesday's King Cup game, the Portuguese striker left frustrated with himself and with the refereeing.
Used to scoring, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player was left empty-handed in the match against Abha in the King Cup. Empty, except for the yellow card he received just before half-time.
With 2-0 up, and with Abha going all out in the last play of the first half, Cristiano Ronaldo received the ball and began to run unmarked towards goal.
However, with time running out, the referee blew the half-time whistle, which provoked the anger of a player who punted the ball away in disapproval.
Cristiano Ronaldo continues to show his competitive hunger, but on this occasion he was dealt a bad hand, with a yellow card that conditioned him for the rest of the match.
