The Portugal Women's National Team beat Cameroon 2-1 to qualify for the first time in their history for the World Cup.
Diana Gomes opened the scoring for Portugal but Ajara Nchout Njoya equalised for the African team. However, Carole Costa scored a penalty to give her team the ticket to qualification.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who is one of the stars of Portuguese football, congratulated the team on qualifying for the World Cup for the first time.
"Congratulations on this historic qualification," he wrote on Twitter. While other talented players, such as Bruno Fernandes, also congratulated them: "Very proud of you once again," Fernandes said.
