Cristiano Ronaldo has been unable to win a title with Al Nassr this season. However, the Portuguese is focused on next season and believes the Saudi league will become one of the best.
The Portuguese star visited Madrid on Wednesday to present his new brand and spoke to the press. The striker was asked about the Saudi league.
"The Saudi league will be one of the top five leagues in the world in two or three years' time. I knew Benzema would come to Saudi Arabia and that's why I said it will be one of the best leagues. I'm sure there will be more football stars coming," he said.
The Portuguese star spoke about the changes he would make to the Saudi league and highlighted areas for improvement: "The league is very good, but I think we have many, many opportunities to keep growing.
"The league is competitive. We have very good teams, very good Arab players. But they need to improve the infrastructure a little bit more. Even the referees, the VAR system... they should be a little bit faster. I think there are other little things they need to improve," he added.
