Although Cristiano Ronaldo's time at Al Nassr has been a good one for the Portuguese since his arrival, breaking the Saudi Pro League record for goals in a season, the 39-year-old striker has yet to lift a trophy since his arrival in the Gulf state.
Al Nassr have finished second behind Al Hilal in the Saudi league two seasons in a row, so the Portugal international is interested in bolstering the squad to make a strong bid for the title next season. The former Real Madrid player has reached out two players who shared a dressing room with him at ‘Los Blancos’, according to Spanish newspaper ‘Marca’.
Carlos Henrique Casemiro is one of the Manchester United players likely to pack his bags this summer, having been the subject of criticism from Red Devils fans directly. The Brazilian defensive midfielder is one of those who has been approached by Ronaldo to join him on his adventure in the Gulf state.
The other player who has spoken to the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is the 'Merengues' captain Nacho Fernandez, who recently lifted his sixth Champions League and who, as Fabrizio Romano pointed out a few months ago, is set to leave the Spanish giants as a free agent this summer.
