Cristiano Ronaldo continues to be in the spotlight at Al-Nassr since joining the Saudi league last season. The Portuguese striker gave a lesson in sportsmanship when he turned down a penalty for his side at the start of their AFC Champions League clash with Persepolis on Monday.
The 38-year-old caused a foul inside the visitors' box and the referee decided to award his side a penalty-kick. However, the No.7 went to talk to the referee to tell him that there really was no foul.
Finally, the referee disallowed the kick after a VAR review. Ronaldo even tried to reassure his opponents after telling them that they could not possibly be awarded the penalty.
Al-Nassr's game was made difficult for them after centre-back Ali Lajami was shown a straight red card. The Saudi side are unbeaten in the AFC Champions League group stage so far.
