Antonio Rudiger was the big absentee from Real Madrid's first training session of the week. The objective is his recovery for Saturday's meeting against Valencia in La Liga.

Real Madrid completed the first training session of the week on Tuesday in preparation for Saturday's visit to Valencia with the need to forget their 4-0 defeat to Barcelona and the disappointment of Vinicius not winning the Ballon d'Or, a session in which Germany's Antonio Rudiger did not train on the pitch.
Real Madrid's coaching staff scheduled a rest day on Monday with the intention that a club expedition would travel to Paris in the early afternoon for Vinicius to collect the award, but before boarding the plane everything changed.
Los Blancos received information that the Ballon d'Or would not go to the Brazilian and neither would it go to Dani Carvajal and decided not to attend the gala in the French capital.
After these two setbacks, Real Madrid's first team trained on Tuesday, with Carlo Ancelotti missing Rudiger, who is suffering from discomfort in his left leg. But he could be available for the La Liga game against Valencia at the Mestalla on Saturday.
