Mohamed Salah suffered a hamstring injury in the Africa Cup of Nations when Egypt drew against Ghana. The 31-year-old decided to return to England to continue his recovery with Liverpool.
His injury was a huge blow for the Reds as they are currently in the race for the Premier League trophy after not winning the title since 2020. However, Jurgen Klopp's men have managed to maintain top spot in the table in his absence.
In fact, Liverpool have lost just one game - against Arsenal, since Salah was on international duty with Egypt at the end of January. But the striker is now fully recovered and ready to return to action.
German coach Jurgen Klopp confirmed at the pre-match press conference ahead of the Premier League clash against Brentford that the Egyptian is likely to play in Saturday's encounter at the Gtech Community Stadium.
"Mo is back in full training, [so] that brings him automatically in contention of course," he told reporters on Friday.
