Mohamed Salah has been simply unstoppable this season. The Egyptian star was on target for the seventh match in a row as he opened the scoring at the Etihad to put Liverpool ahead after 14 minutes of play.
It all came from Mac Allister's corner, which was flicked on by Szobozlai to arrive at the feet of Salah. The Liverpool gem made no mistake as he struck the ball first-time to seal it past City goalkeeper Ederson.
The two then switched roles as Salah was the provider for the Hungarian midfielder's goal less than 20 minutes later to double Liverpool's advantage over Pep Guardiola's struggling side.
The 32-year-old's goal and assist, as well as being crucial for the Reds' hopes of conquering their first Premier League title since 2020, also landed another remarkable individual milestone - over 50 goal contributions across all competitions in a single season.
Salah is now only 7 G/A shy of matching his best-ever season (58 G/A) in terms of goals and assists, which was oddly enough his first at Anfield. With 45 minutes still to play, it wouldn't be surprising if he were to add more to his tally before the full-time whistle.
