The Premier League 2023/24 has been the most exciting of the big five European leagues. Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool battled fiercely for the league title although the Reds eventually surrendered in the last few games.
Arsenal's William Saliba spoke to ‘L'Equipe’ and said things will change next season. The London side are feeling stronger after holding their own against the Sky Blues in the last two seasons.
"We've played them three times this season and we've given them a hard time. They feel and we feel we are close to them. Next year we will have an even better battle," he explained.
Arsenal and Manchester City have met twice in the Premier League and once earlier in the season in the Community Shield.
Pep Guardiola's men have not been able to claim victory in either of those encounters. The English Super Cup was won by the Gunners on penalties and three points for the Londoners at the Emirates Stadium and a draw at the Etihad Stadium in the English top-flight.
