Arsenal face Sporting CP in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie as Mikel Arteta has two priorities this season: winning the Premier League and the Europa League.
The Gunners took the lead in the 22nd minute thanks to William Saliba's goal from a corner.
Vieira crossed the ball from the corner and Saliba, who was unmarked at the far post, beat Sporting CP goalkeeper Adan with a lovely header.
This goal gives Arteta's side the victory so far and they would have a slender lead in the second leg at the Emirates Stadium on 16th March.
