Saudi Arabia had a good World Cup. The Middle East side just missed out on getting through to the last-16, after putting Leo Messi's Argentina up to the test. Herve Renard's men, after that victory, threw in the towel against Poland and Mexico.
Despite that, the team received a bonus from Prince and heir to the thrown, Mohamed bin Salman. Reports claimed that each player had received a Rolls Royce Phantom valued at more then €500,000.
However, Saudi Arabia Football Association president Yasser Al Misehal denied it to 'Marca': "Our players had the honour of representing their country in a historic game. The rumours aren't true. Of course they got a bonus, but it was a normal bonus".
"There are regulations for that type of thing. They don't play for the bonus, they play for their country, to make their own history. A lot of them got famous after beating Argentina", he added.
