Saudis ramp up efforts to secure Madrid's Modric
Saudi Arabia have upped their offer for Luka Modric as they attempt to sign him over the summer window. The new efforts come after the rejection of Leo Messi, who announced last week he woul be going to play with Inter Miami.

Luka Modric has received an "almost irrefusable" offer from a Saudi team, reported 'COPE' on Sunday, and the Croatian could be tempted to pack his bags, which could come as a bit of a shock to the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Croatian is under contract until the end of June, and while an extension looked to be close last month, it could all go to pot in the face of this new attempt by the Saudis to lure him out East.
The offer comes after Leo Messi rejected a £345 million-a-season deal, and instead announced he would be moving to play in Miami. 'COPE' reports that this has prompted the new offer for Modric, which has reportedly caused serious doubts over his future at Madrid.
The 37-year-old has done very well in the Spanish capital since making a £30 million move from Tottenham in 2012. He has won three La Liga titles, five Champions League trophies and the Copa del Rey twice alongside other honours in 488 appearances for the club.
Real Madrid may find itself with another problem it did not expect, similar to the departure of Karim Benzema. However, the departure of the former Tottenham player would be less traumatic for the club.
Not because of the importance that Modric has in Ancelotti's plans, but the Madrid midfield is alive and well, containing already Toni Kroos, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde.
On top of this, the arrival of 22-year-old Jude Bellingham, not yet made official by the club, looks to give the Madrid midfield a boost for the future.
