Sergi Roberto hopes "crucial" Dembele stays at Barca

Ahead of the 'Clasico' against Real Madrid, Sergi Roberto spoke to the press. Asked about the future of his teammate Ousmane Dembele, the Spaniard said he can't imagine him leaving and hopes he stays away from PSG, as he's a "key player" and "well-liked in the squad".

Sergi Roberto, new Barcelona captain, spoke in a press conference ahead of the clash against Real Madrid in Dallas. Asked about the possible departure of teammate Ousmane Dembele, he said that he hopes that the Frenchman will stay with the Spanish side, despite the rumours that link him to PSG.
"I don't see him leaving, I hope he doesn't because he's a crucial player for us. I would say he's the most decisive player that we have in the squad given the way he plays", he declared. "I think that he's a very special player and honestly I hope he stays because he's a key piece of the squad and he's loved in the squad".
As for the 'Clasico' awaiting Barcelona in Dallas, the Spaniard is looking forward to the tense fixture: "A Clasico is always different from any other match," he said. "Against Real Madrid, you always have to go out to win, and I believe it will be a highly contested match."
The newly-appointed captain also acknowledged the honour of wearing the armband, describing it as "a dream I had as a Barca fan since I was little, and it's an honor and a source of pride".
