Granada midfielder Sergio Ruiz spoke to 'Carrusel Deportivo' about his side's clash with FC Barcelona and gave his views on refereeing in Spain.
Regarding the match against FC Barcelona, he stated that it is possible to get the three points at the Lluis Companys. He expressed it in the following words: "We can beat Barcelona, but we have to play a perfect game, make sure they don't have a good day and also be fortunate".
On the other hand, he referred to the refereeing in these terms: "It's annoying for the smaller teams because sometimes we've been disadvantaged and it has a big influence on us. When the matchdays go by, the standings speak for themselves. If you're in a position, it's because of merit or demerit". He also gave his opinion on the VAR: "In terms of objective sets, it's positive, it's a very useful tool, but in terms of subjective actions and interpretation, it's still all up in the air".
Finally, he was asked about Granada's situation in the table and he is still confident of avoiding relegation: "When things are going badly it's difficult to hold on to something, but we still believe. There are still a lot of games left and we can achieve salvation".
