Spanish coach Jose Luis Mendilibar's days at Sevilla could be numbered. The Andalusian side are considering replacing him despite helping them win a seventh Europa League title last season.

After winning their seventh Europa League title last campaign, Sevilla are having a poor start to the season as they have won just two games in nine competitive matches - against Las Palmas and Almeria in La Liga.
Spanish manager Jose Luis Mendilibar took charge of the Andalusian side to lift them out of the relegation zone and managed to win his first European title as coach. However, things are not going as well as they did in his first season at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium.
The 62-year-old renewed his contract after winning Sevilla's seventh Europa League title but is failing to meet the board's expectations. As a result, they are considering sacking him. The La Liga club could make their third managerial change in less than 12 months.
Sevilla midfielder Fernando, who played for three seasons for Manchester City, felt offended by the Spanish coach in the 2-2 draw against Rayo Vallecano in the La Liga matchday nine fixture after being replaced ten minutes before half-time.
"I know that the substituted player is going to feel screwed, but it’s not because I’ve seen him as the worst on the team. I’ve talked to him and he’s hurt. I’ve given him my explanation and that’s it," Mendilibar told reporters at Saturday's press conference afterwards.
According to reports in Spain, Bournemouth coach Andoni Iraola, who could be sacked by the Cherries after losing their last four games, is one of the main contenders to take charge of the Andalusian club. Marcelino, who coached Sevilla in the 2011/12 season, could also take the reins of the team.
Mendilibar's men are in Group B alongside Arsenal in the Champions League and will face them on 24th October at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium. For this reason, taking charge of a struggling Sevilla side will be no easy task for anyone.
