Sevilla, who are struggling to stay out of the relegation zone this season, face Rayo Vallecano in a La Liga match on Monday. Spanish coach Quique Sanchez Flores held a press conference on Sunday to talk about his expectations.
The manager was optimistic ahead of the next game, but stressed the importance of competing and avoiding mistakes: "We need to compete. We want to play with ambition and with the desire to be able to compete, it's not enough for us to just play," he told reporters.
Sanchez Flores went on to add: "We have to extend the plan, because sometimes we fall down during the match, accidents happen to us that take away our energy and we have to extend it."
Finally, the coach appealed to the fans to turn around the bad situation the team is going through: "We have to be all together, because we are weaker if we are not together. Our great strength is going to be the fans."
