Rodrigo, scorer of the goal against Inter Milan that gave City their first Champions League title in Istanbul, spoke to the media ahead of Wednesday's European Super Cup.
Manchester City's Spanish midfielder was full of praise for Sevilla and praised their ability to lift games: "When it looks like they are dead, they bounce back.
"Sevilla are a very competitive side who know how to play these games. They cope with the bad moments and, when it looks like they are dead, they turn the game around. It says a lot about their winning character," he said. "In the Europa League, they have been a sensational team. We know who we're up against and how difficult it's going to be," Rodrigo said.
The Spaniard also spoke about the injury to Belgian Kevin de Bruyne, who will be out for several months. "I didn't know it was going to be so long. He is one of the most important players in the team and we are going to miss him. We will try to help him through these bad times. When I saw him, he was trying to stay positive and come back soon," he said.
