The week for the Sevilla players got underway today, Tuesday. After enjoying three days off - Saturday, Sunday and Monday - the players are back on the pitch at the Ciudad Deportiva with the game against UD Las Palmas on the horizon.
A game that will once again be key in the relegation fight, as a win on the Canary Island would extend their advantage over the relegation zone - Sevilla would maintain a nine-point gap with the red zone if Cadiz are defeated at home to FC Barcelona -.
The week kicked off with an afternoon session in which Quique Flores brought back Marcos Acuna and Marcao. In the last exercise, both players remained in the gym doing specific work, an action that has been repeated on several occasions between the different players in previous training sessions.
However, those who have not been available for Quique Flores have been Youssef En-Nesyri and Erik Lamela. The Moroccan did not touch the ball last Friday either, as he travelled to his country with permission from the club.
This is what prevented him from being on the pitch at the Ciudad Deportiva today, although he is expected to return to the group tomorrow. As for the Argentinian, Lamela was absent due to a fever and general malaise.
