Bernardo Silva has been playing in a Manchester City shirt for seven seasons following his arrival from Monaco in the 2017/18 season.
The 29-year-old was rumoured in the last transfer window to be linked with a move to Barcelona but ended up renewing his contract with the Sky Blues. However, he denied rumours of his arrival at Camp Nou in an interview.
Moreover, the Portuguese midfielder admitted that he would like to return to his boyhood club in the future to finish where he started his professional football career.
"I want to return to Benfica. If the club wants me at the time, obviously things will happen. I was incapable of playing for FC Porto or Sporting. It's not going to happen," he told 'CNN Portugal'.
