Bernardo Silva spoke about his compatriot Joao Neves, who is having a superb start to the season for both his national team and Benfica, and said he will "pull strings" to get him to join Manchester City instead of Manchester United.

Bernardo Silva is considering using his connections to bring a promising talent from Benfica to Manchester City, rather than Manchester United. The 19-year-old midfielder has emerged as a crucial player in Benfica's midfield following Enzo Fernandez's £105 million transfer to Chelsea.
Manchester United has been monitoring the young midfielder, particularly after his impressive display in Benfica's recent 2-1 victory over Sporting CP. Nevertheless, Silva is determined to leverage his influence with his Portuguese compatriot to secure the player's presence at Manchester City instead.
"I am very happy for Joao [Neves] and other kids who are appearing in Benfica’s team and also in the national team. Neves in the Premier League? I think that players with quality can play in any championship.
"I see him very focused on his club, which is the most important thing at the moment, a very young player but with a very promising future ahead of him," he said.
He went on to add: "He arrived at the national team, settled in and integrated very well. He’s another one to help, if the coach thinks so, to help us help win the European Championship. For City instead of United? If I can, I will pull strings to Joao Neves to go to City. I’d like to see him joining City instead of United, of course."
