"Simeome calls me a hitman for last year's goals"
Atletico Madrid's Alexander Sorloth took advantage of his training camp with Norway to give an interview to his country's 'TV2' channel. The Nordic striker confirmed in a humorous tone the nickname given to him by Simeone in the early days due to the number of goals he scored last season.

The international break is not synonymous with the teams' current affairs disappearing. Many of the players in training with their national teams take advantage of the international break to review their time at club level.
Alexander Sorloth, who spoke to his country's 'TV2' channel, revealed the curious nickname given to him by coach Simeone: "In the first meeting he told me that he had given me a nickname. He calls me "hitman". Quite simply. After last year's goals, he wants me to be a hitman for the whole season, to just put the ball in the net. I'll try to live up to that nickname."
The Norwegian striker also had words for his new teammate Julian Alvarez: "I think we will have great chemistry together. I just thought it was an unbelievable transfer and he is an unbelievably good player. It would have been different if they had signed someone who is 195 centimetres tall and weighs 95 kilos. If we had signed Haaland, I wouldn't be so happy because we are too similar. Alvarez is a very different type of player to me. I don't see him as a competitor.
"It's a fantastic feeling to come to a club where the only thing that counts is winning. Everyone wants to win something, so you have to bring in as many good players as possible. It's been an eventful summer. I was waiting for the transfer to Atletico Madrid to materialise and, in the end, it became a reality. It was magical," Sorloth concluded.
