Diego Pablo Simeone spoke to the media on Saturday at the press conference ahead of the clash between Atletico and Valencia. Simeone refuses to use the issue as an excuse, despite all the noise surrounding La Liga's scheduling of the derby and the comparative disadvantage against Real Madrid.

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone said on Saturday that he is not worried "about something that can't do anything", referring to his side's La Liga schedule, with two days less to prepare for the domestic clash against Real Madrid in the upcoming derby on 29 September.
In recent days, Atletico fans have also expressed their dissatisfaction with La Liga's timetable allocation, which has condemned the Madrid side to play at 21.00 CEST.
"It's not my job to think about that. My task is to think about coaching the team and try to do the best we can at the time we play, in the place we play," the Argentinian told Saturday's press conference.
"It's just that we play Valencia this Saturday and we've been working for two weeks. Now most of the lads were able to arrive on Wednesday. The only thing I'm thinking about is that the team is doing well and improving. Nobody cares about everything you are asking me, because they are going to value me and the team for how we perform on the pitch and nobody is going to remember this," Simeone replied.
"I'm not going to worry about something I can't do anything about. What I can do is try to get our team to play well, play a good game and, when the game is over, this situation will remain an anecdote," he added.
