Manchester United are already working on reinforcements for the January transfer window as British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe is expected to invest money in new signings following his possible arrival at Old Trafford.
Nonetheless, the board will not only focus on new arrivals but also on departures. According to the 'Mirror', six United players could start negotiating their transfer as free agents for the summer transfer window in January.
Jadon Sancho, who has had recent problems with Dutch coach Erik ten Hag, is likely to leave the English club in the next transfer window. However, players such as Aaron Wan-Bissaka, whose contract expires in June, could leave Old Trafford in the summer.
Swedish centre-back Victor Lindelof is in the same situation as his teammate as he could start negotiating his exit with any European club after seven seasons playing for the Red Devils.
Academy player Hannibal Mejbri, who has had some opportunities this season, is also likely to leave his current team in search of new opportunities and more playing time at another European club
Anthony Martial will also be looking for a new destination after struggling to make an impact in recent seasons after a loan spell at Sevilla in the 2021/22 season. Veteran goalkeeper Tom Heaton could consider retirement after four seasons - and two at the start of his career - at Manchester United.
Meanwhile, centre-back Jonny Evans returned to the Manchester club in the summer transfer window after several seasons at Leicester but only signed for one year. As a result, he will become a free agent in June.
